About the SOT Algorithm
The Surrogate Optimization Tensor (SOT) system is designed to solve one of the hardest problems in collaborative ecosystems: fair attribution and compensation when value flows through multiple contributors.
Core Components
Contribution Tensor
Quantifies contributions across multiple dimensions:
- Complexity: Technical difficulty (0-1)
- Impact: Reach and influence (0-1)
- Novelty: Innovation factor (0-1)
- Synergy: Collaboration multiplier (0-1)
- Time Factor: Duration/longevity (0-1)
Referral Graph
Tracks discovery paths and attribution chains with features like:
- Path tracking for user discovery
- Multi-hop attribution with decay
- Cycle detection to prevent loops
Reward/Penalty Framework
Calculates net payouts with incentives:
- Base rate multipliers
- Efficiency bonuses
- Complexity bonuses
- Risk and late penalties
Emergent Behavior Detection
Identifies when collaboration creates outsized value. When actual value exceeds the sum of individual contributions by a threshold, the system detects emergent behavior and distributes the surplus fairly.
